Thrilling 30 Megatron

Just a quick Transformer spotlight today; Generations/Thrilling 30 Megatron. Based on a B-2 Bomber, this is a pretty unusual design for Megatron and is based on his appearance in the IDW comic series. This design was created by Don Figuerosa's artwork, and the toy was created without his permission according to the wiki files online (though I'm sure there might be an argument that Hasbro owned his designs...it's probably a huge mess, but who can argue with Hasbro).

The figure has a unique weapon in that his Fusion Cannon is actually a rail gun instead of hid legendary weapon, but the toy still calls it a Fusion Cannon.

Overall the toy is slightly metallic black and purple and like many of the Thrilling 30 toys stands out from the normal crowd of Transformers. This series seems to have fallen into a weird limbo of popularity as they were only out for a short time. The good news is that due to this odd place in popularity, many figures from the Thrilling 30 line, including Megatron, can be found for rather cheap prices in loose condition. Expect to pay around $25-$35 for this figure.

This figure would see several repaints including a 2 pack with Orion Pax, Dreadwing, a Botcon version in G1 Krok colors, and a version for The Last Knight.
