Three Times the Trouble

Transformers Legacy Needlenose is already a great figure for the inclusion of his Two small Targetmaster buddies, Sunbeam (blue) and Zigzag (black). I've always liked the idea of including smaller bots with the toys to add to play value and add to the $24.99 price tag. Each of his little figures can turn into a gun with a single flip of the gun barrel. Needlenose can transform from a robot to a plane in 14 steps.

Better Than the Original

Legacy Hot Rod, you wonderful, beautiful little toy. In a recent article I talked about Legacy TM II Megatron and how it was a bit of a let down. However, this little bot is just the opposite. It's a figure I got because I'm a completionist, it's just some figure to round out the collection. I had zero expectations going in. My only regret being I was unable to get the fancier Powerlinx version that came with the Mini-Con Jolt. I was never a big fan of Hot Shot, but as of today, I am.

Legacy: Transmetals II Magatron

Very late to the game, but finally got a Legacy TM II Megatron and...I'm honestly on the fence on this one. I will preface that the original TM II Megatron is way high on my list of great Transformer toys; it was big, shiny, and fun. This new one was already a thorn in my side as most, if not all, stores in our state of South Dakota have more or less quit carrying the $50+ Transformer toys, with maybe one or two showing up now and then. But come into our stores and be ready for a thousand Starscreams w/Throne and maybe a G2 Toxitron Scourge or Dinobot if you're lucky.

12 Signs I Wasted My Money

This is a review I've been wanting to do for years on end, but was unable to find the bot anywhere online. In what seems like ages ago, I was reading my copy of Hobby Japan and saw an article about some small robots that were modeled after the 12 signs of the Zodiac, and then they could become weapons or even combine into a single giant robot. They were made of bright colors and translucent plastics, the entire thing looked incredible. Since then, I forgot which of my Hobby Japan magazines this review was in and have long since forgotten the name of the figure.

Sixliner, a Combiner of Greatness

Today we're looking at Universe Rail Racer, AKA Sixliner, AKA Sixtrain. This figure/mold goes back to the end of the G1 era in Japan with the "Return of Convoy" toyline. This was the second to last era for G1 in Japan. It was a very small run and interestingly had ZERO Decepticons!

Thrilling 30 Megatron

Just a quick Transformer spotlight today; Generations/Thrilling 30 Megatron. Based on a B-2 Bomber, this is a pretty unusual design for Megatron and is based on his appearance in the IDW comic series. This design was created by Don Figuerosa's artwork, and the toy was created without his permission according to the wiki files online (though I'm sure there might be an argument that Hasbro owned his designs...it's probably a huge mess, but who can argue with Hasbro).

WFC Siege Shockwave

With the new Marvel Comic Shockwave toy coming out, I thought it'd be time to go back a few years (2019) and look at "War for Cybertron: Siege" Shockwave. This was an impressive figure with nearly unlimited potential.

The Queen That Went Nowhere

With the 5th installment of the Transformers franchise, “The Last Knight”, the series took some pretty fast-paced and bizarre turns. From a drunken Merlin to the Knights of the Round Table being ancient Transformers, to yet another grand enemy. This time we find a being calling herself Quintessa has taken it upon herself to rebuild Cybertron by destroying Earth. This film set up a lot of stories and ignored a lot as well.
